Michigan announces another round of childcare provider grants

This past fall, the Michigan Legislature passed, and Governor Whitmer signed a budget that includes over $700 million in grant funding to support child care providers.

The funds are available to help keep doors open and focus on what matters most-supporting kids and families.

The grant will be used to provide $1,000 bonuses to staff at childcare centers that receive the money. The first round of money was announced in November. The money will help childcare workers who were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
