The Detroit Economic Growth Corporation has launched the Shop Small Detroit 2025 Holiday Planning Guide, a free resource designed to help Detroit small businesses prepare for the busiest season of the year. The guide includes marketing tips, event planning tools, compliance reminders, District Business Liaison contacts and additional resources to help entrepreneurs boost visibility and drive sales throughout the holiday season.

Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan today joined with Detroit Economic Growth Corporation (DEGC) officials, City Council President Mary Sheffield, and startup ecosystem leaders announced the launch the first-of-its-kind Detroit Startup Fund. The $700,000 initiative will distribute grants to Detroit-based tech startups over the next year in its first round. The goal of the program is to create jobs, fuel innovation that improves life for Detroiters, and retain talent.
