Mother of four opens first Black-owned vegan dessert boutique in Detroit

Vegan Chef and mother of four, Chantele Jones, has launched her brick-and-mortar vegan bakery, Estellas's Vegan Cuisine and Desserts this week inside Detroit's Grand River WorkPlace.

Competing in business competitions like TechTown's Retail Bootcamp, Rebrand Black Pitch Competition, and National Entrepreneur's Association and Dell Technologies' National Virtual Pitch Contest helped Jones secure $11,000 to bring her bakery to life.

She offers banana pudding, cookies, sweet potato pies, and peach cobbler. Her vegan pound cakes have created a buzz in the community. She’s offering four different flavors, including lemon, chocolate turtle, red velvet, and strawberry crunch. You can also find seasonal items on the menu.
