Baobab Fare has been named the 2022 Detroit Free Press Best New Restaurant! The vibrant East African restaurant has been applauded for its delicious fare, along with its efforts to help refugees.

It honors traditional dishes served in Burundi, the birthplace of husband-and-wife owners Nadia Nijimbere and Hamissi Mamba, and does so with polish and poise.
