About the Event

Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC) and People First Economy have partnered to promote and advance sustainability throughout Michigan's business community.  Michigan businesses of all sizes and from any industry are encouraged to participate in this partnership by entering the Good For Michigan Program. This complementary program helps businesses identify, measure, and guide the implementation of practices that create positive social and environmental impacts. For businesses interested in entering the Good For Michigan program, please register to attend the Good For Michigan training webinar on Tuesday, September 26th from 1-2 PM.  In this training, People First Economy Program Director Alice Jasper will walk attendees through free, online tools that can help interested businesses benchmark and set goals towards a regenerative and financially stable future. These tools can be used as a roadmap alongside numerous resources to support businesses on their path to creating positive social and environmental impacts. Participation in the Good For Michigan Program provides the following benefits for Michigan businesses:

  • Access to the B Impact Assessment or Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Baseline Assessment
  • Inclusion in a PMBC sustainable supplier showcase, allowing for visibility to prospective customers
  • Free social and environmental sustainability consulting services
  • Educational resources and technical assistance
  • Collective impact performance report
  • Listing on the Good For Michigan website
  • Opportunities to be featured on Good For Michigan's social media and communications platforms
  • Eligible for Good For Michigan Awards and inclusion in annual program feature in MiBiz
  • Use of Good For Michigan logo and window cling
  • Networking with values-aligned businesses
