Please join us on Thursday, Jan 25th, as we kick off the first 2024 "Real Talk" roundtable discussion. Let's show up strong and in solidarity to support all efforts to level the playing field and build capacity for future opportunities that await us!

DFO313 will share the most recent updates on the Design-Build Green Hub Grand Opening, future contractor programming, industry-specific technical assistance with industry experts, small business lending, legal advice, and future projects.

This series is intended to be a safe and inclusive platform for Detroit contractors, industry design-build partners, and providers. Please bring a few contractors with you!

Our first guest speaker is our City of Detroit, District 6 Councilwoman, Gabriela Santiago-Romero, who will share important Detroit updates. Gabriela Santiago-Romero is an immigrant from Mexico, raised in Southwest Detroit, and an active organizer in Michigan. She has spent her whole life fighting for justice and will bring her core value of putting people first to local government.

Eva Torres, District 6 manager, will also be joining. She will share a few words on her important liaison role for the Mayor's office in supporting residents and small business owners. Eva is a native Detroiter, born in Puerto Rico, raised in Southwest Detroit, a graduate of the Detroit Public School System. She holds a degree in Accounting and business management.
